Flavio Gallozzi （フラヴィオ　ガッロツィ）

フォトグラファー　

1957年8月13日　イタリア・トリノ生まれ。

1980年、トリノ　芸術アカデミー卒業。1983年　フリーのフォトグラファーとして独立。　

ミラノを拠点に、主に女性雑誌にてビューテイ・ファッション写真を中心に活動。

1993年　イギリス・ロンドンに本拠地を移す。雑誌・広告写真撮影を中心に活動。

2002年　イタリア・ミラノに帰国。雑誌・広告分野にて、スティールライフ・ポートレート中心に活動。2003年よりファインアートとして、日本の伝統芸術・工芸作家の所作に視点をおいた　「伝統の所作」の撮影を開始。現在に至る。2008年、イタリアプロフェッショナルフォトグラファーアソシエーションよりクリエイティブ賞受賞。

I've been in love with Japan for long time, I love the culture, the art and the tradition to the extent that I married a Japanese woman, thank to her, during my regular trips to Japan, I have the luck and privilege to experience the real Japanese life and culture, understand and absorb the tradition, being a privileged witness of the act of creation of the artist performing for me only, I’m not a curious tourist or a cold documentarist.

The hand is the media, the tool that make real the thoughts and the soul of the artist, the action of creation is freezed in my images, I record the magic moment of creation of art. I focus my work on traditional arts, like calligraphy, pottery, music with traditional instruments, dance, tea ceremony, martial arts, etc.
